This is a tribute to Jane Copeland, a well regarded and diligent dental nurse, who retired after 30 years working at Bank Cottage Dental.
Jane joined the practice on 1992 and was dental nurse to Robin Cole-Morgan for many years. Jane’s personable and calm engaging manner was welcomed by many of the patients and she was a popular member of staff amongst her colleagues. Jane’s highly organised and dependable skills resulted in her becoming the Decontamination Infection Prevention Lead at Bank Cottage Dental, which she embraced and she also particularly enjoyed supporting the dentists in minor oral surgery procedures.
Also, keen to help others, Jane accompanied Teresa in 2014 to Tanzania to support the dental charity, Bridge2Aid. During their trip, they worked within a team to train local health workers to successfully carry out dental treatment to provide help for people, with no access to dental treatment, of whom many walk for miles with severe dental pain.
With more time in retirement, Jane has plenty of time to pursue her passion for kayaking on white water rapids. When not competing in slalom competitions, she likes to relax on river and canal trips. Am sure her days will be full, when safely on the ground gardening and enjoying her grandchildren grow up.
Jane has been a loyal and reliable, kind-hearted dental nurse at Bank Cottage Dental and we’re truly grateful for all the help she has given us over the years!
As a person with a fear of dentists who had not visited one in 8 years I can honestly say Dentist Tim Lindop and Nurse Lisa made me feel at ease. They were friendly and professional and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Tim took the time to thoroughly explain to me what he was going to do before beginning which took a lot of my anxiety away. After explaining my concerns Tim was very patient and understanding and the injections I received were very gentle. Excellent dental practice with exceptional staff, I won't be going anywhere else in future.
