This is a tribute to Valerie Peacock, better know as Val or Mrs P, who retired from Bank Cottage Dental after 30 years working a dental nurse.
Val started her career in dentistry when she was 16 years old and throughout her time at Bank Cottage Dental was thoughtful and always made an effort to reach out to help and support patients and staff. What she enjoyed most about her job was caring for the many patients and helping the nervous ones overcome their dental anxiety. Val built up strong friendships within the practice and she loved her job.
She enjoyed working with Connor, the principal and the duo would often laugh over some North Eastern banter.
Vals’ retirement was brought forwards due to the coronavirus pandemic and despite not seeing her around so often, when we do it is great to hear about her travels and her interesting stories.
Thank you Val for your loyalty and contribution to us all at Bank Cottage Dental over the last three decades.
As a person with a fear of dentists who had not visited one in 8 years I can honestly say Dentist Tim Lindop and Nurse Lisa made me feel at ease. They were friendly and professional and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Tim took the time to thoroughly explain to me what he was going to do before beginning which took a lot of my anxiety away. After explaining my concerns Tim was very patient and understanding and the injections I received were very gentle. Excellent dental practice with exceptional staff, I won't be going anywhere else in future.
